Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) launched a “field schools” program in Al-Ma’afer district, Taiz governorate, to enable 100 male and female farmers to develop sustainable agricultural practices and utilize knowledge of the local environment to increase agricultural production with
a lower cost and quality in better economic return. As well as developing societal skills to manage projects in proper way and to depend on themselves in the future.
The program that continuing for four-months, it comes within the activities of the project (enhancing and restoring the productivity of small farmers in Yemen – the components of horticultural crops and field schools), which is implemented by the foundation in Demnat Khadir, Maqbana, and Al-Ma’afer districts in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and with funding from the World Bank.
