Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, met today with the Director General of the Regional and International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ahmed Al Jawwy, Director General of the NGOs Department of the Ministry, Zuhair Hamid, and discussed the partnership between the government and CSOs, the role hoped for by the Ministry in supporting the initiative to localize the humanitarian action and optimize the response mechanisms in Yemen, and the recovery and economic recovery program.

At the meeting, Al Suhaili stressed that building comprehensive and sustainable partnerships between the Government and CSOs in Yemen will play a key role in meeting the needs of economic recovery and development and achieve an effective humanitarian response and sustainable results. He also stressed the importance of participatory planning and the activation of communication and data exchange channels to direct grants and assistance towards sustainable projects consistent with government plans and the actual need for communities.

 Al Jawwy and Hamid expressed the Ministry's keeness to develop coordination and partnership mechanisms with local organizations and to enhance their contribution to the preparation of development plans and programs, and to integrate them in linking humanitarian response to recovery and economic recovery.
