Coordinator of the Localization and Economic Recovery Initiatives Meets With the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training in Aden


Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, Coordinator of the National Economic Recovery Program, met today with the Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Abdrabbuh Al Mahwali, and discussed mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between CSOs and the Ministry in training and rehabilitation of youth in professional and technical disciplines to contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty and providing skilled Yemeni hands for the process of recovery and reconstruction.

 


At the meeting, Al Suhaily stressed the important role of the technical education and vocational training sector in supporting socio-economic recovery and peace-building efforts.

 

 

 

He pointed out that the economic recovery initiative includes promoting partnership with the government in developing the technical and vocational education system to keep pace with the requirements of the phase; and the needs of the labor market in accordance with a national program and a comprehensive strategy.

 

 


The Deputy Minister expressed the ministry's willingness to cooperate mutually and effectively with CSOs, and enrich the initiative with all that promotes the advancement and quality of the technical education and vocational training sector.

 


The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Al Buraihi, a member of TYF’s Board of Trustees, Dr. Tammam Al Hitari, TYF’s Program Manager, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, TYF’s Economic Empowerment Program Director, Ms. Bushra Abdullah, TYF’s MEAL Officer, and Ms. Nadeen Abdulkadir, TYF's Public Relations Officer.
