Emergency Agriculture Livelihoods Support Project to the Most Vulnerable Households in Yemen

Project summary:

From June 2020 to December 2020, the project was implemented in Al Musaymir, Al Melah and Radfan districts, Lahj Governorate. The project targeted 8,150 farming Households engaged in livestock in the three districts by providing chili, okra and bean seeds, hand-held farming tools and animal feed. Moreover, beneficiaries were made aware of modern farming methods, seed selection and livestock fattening.

 

Overall Objective:

Supporting food security and livelihoods for 8150 of the most vulnerable families in Al Musaymir, Al Melah and Radfan districts in Lahij governorate.

 

Project outputs:

  • Distributing chili and okra seeds, and hand-held farming tools to 1,350 families.
  • Distributing animal feed to 2,550 families.
  • Distributing chili, okra, and bean seeds, hand-held farming tools, and animal feed to 4,250 families.
  • Training 8,150 families in farming methods, seed selection and livestock fattening.
