Shelter/ NFI Support and CCCM Interventions to IDPs and Host Communities in Ibb - Yemen

Project Summary:

The project provides emergency shelter kits and basic household items (NFIs for newly displaced families) at the three target sites. It also provides coordination and support for camp management for IDPS in sites that are the responsibility of the UN Refugee Agency (UNCHR) and key camp management activities. The sites under this project are divided into three main sites and six sub-sites. Community support is responsible for setting up three maintenance projects for IDPs hosting sites, focusing on maintenance ideas that enhance the capacity of IDPs to adapt to sites and help them to contribute to and participate in these projects, starting with ideas that represent the priorities of their needs, leading to implementation through cash-for-work activity, supervision and monitoring of implementation.

 

Overall Objective:
Improving shelter and camp management services for IDPs and the host community in Ibb Governorate.

 

Project Outputs:

  •  Distributing 5,700 shelter kits and 750 tent during the project period.
  • Implementing five quick-impact projects.
  •  Managing three hosting sites for IDPs with six maintenance projects.
