The 16-day campaign succeeds in raising awareness of women’s rights and promotes awareness of accepting their partnership with men.

At the end of the 16-day campaign to combat violence against women, Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP), implemented awareness sessions for families benefiting from the GFD project in Al Mesrakh and Jabal Habashi in Taiz governorate. The sessions addressed the importance of rural women’s role in combating poverty and ways of empowering them to build strong societies that contribute to social justice.
Printed materials with the logo and messages of the campaign, guidelines for protecting women’s rights and reporting on on cases of violence and gender-based discrimination, were also distributed. The campaign has achieved success and interaction that reflects a strong awareness among men of accepting partnership with women and building productive families and communities free of violence
