Food insecurity increases gender-based violence In partnership with the World Food Program, Tamdeen Youth Foundation distributes food to 23,000 and 390 families in Taiz

Tension in the home may arise because of lack of food and this can lead to domestic violence and discrimination against women by men, especially in times of war and conflict where families lose their livelihoods. This is why Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP), provides monthly food for thousands of poor families in Yemen. The foundation today launched the distribution of food rations for November cycle 2019 for 23,000 and 390 families in Al Mesrakh and Jabal Habashi districts in Taiz governorate. This food assistance reduces the economic pressure on families and breaks the cycle of gender-based violence.
