The chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation / Hussein Al-Suhaily inaugurated yesterday, Monday, the Foundation’s education program for the year 2020 by laying the foundation stone for the project to build “Omar bin Al-Khattab” school in Al Bashima village, Ayfoua hamlet, Shara’ab Al Salam district,  in Taiz Governorate.

In the presence of the General Director of the Directorate / Ali Ahmed Al Sha`ez, the Director of the Education Office in the Directorate / Hemyar Abdul Rahman Al Buhairi, the Director of Projects in the Office / Abdo Hamdan, and a number of officials, Sheikhs and notables, and a large number of parents and students.

In the celebration, the chairman of the Foundation greeted the people of the region, its community committee, Sheikhs, and notables in Shara’ab Al Salam for their interaction and interest in educating their children. He said: “We have prompted the interaction of the parents to break the cycle of isolation and deprivation in the region and the enthusiasm of the children for education even in the open and under the trees to meet the request of the community committee to support its efforts in building the school after the parents have guaranteed 50% of the construction requirements; noting that Tamdeen Youth Foundation will spare no effort in mobilizing resources to provide the remaining 50% of the cost of building it In this regard, the chairman of the Foundation appealed to the private sector, capital, partners, and donors to support the Foundation’s efforts to advance education as a gateway to sustainable development and achieve social peace. He also called on the local authorities and the Supreme Council for Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation to support the Foundation and provide facilities for the implementation of its humanitarian and development programs and projects.

For his part, the General Director of Shara’ab Al Salam Directorate expressed the great joy of the people in launching the construction of the school and said, ” Al Bashima Village has never been implemented in any project, either from the official side or civil society organizations, and that Tamdeen Youth Foundation is the first in reaching it to touch its needs and alleviate the suffering of its children. ”

The Director of the Education Office at the Directorate also expressed his great appreciation for the humanitarian work implemented by the Foundation. He emphasized that Tamdeen Youth proves its leadership and excellence in its programs and projects year after year, which meets the needs of the most vulnerable groups and the most disadvantaged societies, and for this it will find all support from us.
