Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) celebrates the International Women’s Day and honors female employees and volunteers

Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) celebrated the  International Women’s Day in its main administration, Sana’a and its branch offices, and honored female employees and volunteers in recognition of their humanitarian roles and their efforts to achieve the Foundation’s vision, mission and goals. At the ceremony, which was held on the stage of Tamdeen Youth in Sana’a, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr. Najeeba Al-Mahdi, said that Yemeni women are the most affected in the war that left thousands of widows and displaced which their biggest concern is to get food, medicines and shelter.  She also appealed all conflict’s parties to respect the rights of women and called on the United Nations and its offices in Yemen to redouble efforts  for ending the tragedy experienced by Yemeni women. Finally, she congratulated all women in the world for their day and respected men who respected women’s rights. On behalf of the women in Tamdeen Youth, Balqees Mohammed expressed her appreciation for the care enjoyed by female employees and volunteers from  the Foundation’s management and said: “The spirit of the one team is the predominant factor in the implementation of all Tamdeen programs and projects and the secret of its success.”  The writer and human rights activist, Wameedh Shaker also said that International  Women’s Day is an occasion to protest against violations of women’s rights and remind regimes and governments that the political partnership of women is a legitimate right that cannot be waived and warning parties of conflict in Yemen that the crimes committed against Yemeni women will be held accountable sooner or later. After that, the head of Tamdeen Youth Foundation / Hussein Al-Suhaili delivered a speech in which he affirmed the commitment of the Foundation to all human charters and its embodiment of the true partnership between men and women. He also appreciates the efforts of Tamdeen young women and men and their active roles in relief and humanitarian work despite the circumstances and risks they face.  The ceremony included a number of rap songs performed by the artist / Ahmed Sheikh and carried humanitarian messages and motivated to volunteer to serve the community and vulnerable groups, and urged women to struggle for their rights.

On the same occasion, the office of Tamdeen Youth Foundation in Ibb organized a special event in which the head of the office, Dr. Yazine Al-Hakimi, honored the female employees and gave them symbolic gifts.  Also in Taiz, young women from Tamdeen Foundation expressed their thanks to the Foundation’s management for the commemoration Women’s Day and honor them. The Director of the Office, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Musallami, gave them gifts on the occasion in the midst of the interaction of all their colleagues in the office.
