Tamdeen Youth Foundation was honoured by the visit of the representative of the Office of UNCHR in Yemen , Mr. Jean Nicholas, and the Coordinator of .the National Protection Cluster, Ms. Katya Lopez, to the IDPs Camp in Dhi Al-Sufal district, Ibb governorate

Early this morning, Mr. Nicholas, together with Ms. Katya Lopez, and the Sub-National clusters coordinators in Ibb for CCCM, protection,and shelter, Mr. Alezz Bin Abdulaslam, and Mr. Nabil al-Adeeb, arrived at Al-Tomooh IDPs site, which is being overseen by TYF within the Shelter Support Project (NFIs and CCCM interventions for IDPs and host communities in Ibb), in partnership with UNHCR.

The arrival of the UNHCR representative coincided with TYF's implementation of NFIs distribution activity for the first batch of (38) IDPs living at the site.

According to the UNHCR team, the visit aimed to get a closer look at the needs of IDPs in the areas where they are overcrowded, especially as Ibb governorate became a shelter for many IDPs from Al Dhalea and Taiz governorates, as well as a number of families displaced from conflict areas in Al Hudaydah, Al-Mukha, etc.

The visit was also to identify the UNHCR's protection, camp management and shelter activities at one of the sites that is overseen by TYF, as UNHCR's partner.

The UNHCR representative and his team expressed their full satisfaction with the organization and smooth flow of beneficiaries within the distribution site. They also felt the suffering of the people living in the camp by talking to community committee members and some families who had heard their stories from the first day of displacement.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Nicholas and his accompanying team thanked Tamdeen Youth Foundation and all its staff in the field. They praised TYF's staff mechanism during the implementation of the project activities, hoping that they would continue at the same pace to serve the IDPs.

Mr. Badr Al-Fahad, Director of the Foundation in Abb Governorate, participated in the visit. And they were received by the shelter staff, camp management and coordination of their activities.
