Considering It as a Partnership Issue... Tamdeen Youth Foundation, With the Participation of Different Actors of Society, Holds a Discussion Session on Social Responsibility

In Yemen, we are late for Social Responsibility, but to be late is better than not to be. With this sentence, the chairman of TYF, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, began the third session on the Social Responsibility in Yemen. The session was attended by academic researchers, civil society activists and representatives of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce. They briefed on the academics’ views on this aspect and their vision for the launch of the Yemeni Conference on the Social Responsibility, expected to be held in October. Everyone agreed that it is important to work systematically, ensuring the division of tasks and roles.

Committees will be formed, ranging from scientific, organizational, technical, media and others. All stakeholders must be involved in the preparation of the National Plan for Social Responsibility, first and foremost the government side, since social responsibility is based on partnership between different institutions of society.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of TYF, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, CEO of For All Foundation, Ms. Aziza Al Kebsi, Professor of Sociology at Sana'a University, Dr. Adel Al Sharjabi, former Dean of the Faculty of Information at Sana'a University, Dr. Ali Al Buraihy, Chairman of the Yemeni Initiative for Social Responsibility, Mr. Yassin Al Shaibani, and the Director of International Relations at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Habib Al-Mekhlafi.
