Tamdeen Youth Foundation Opens "Community Frameworks Make Peace" Projects in Jabal Habashi District, Taiz Governorate


On the occasion of reviving social cohesion and overcoming the complexities of geography, the drums, here in Jabal Habshi district, are rining, but this time they are the drums and chants of peace and development. 

 

With funding from Josoor Programe, Tamdeen Youth Foundation, with the cooperation of society, has succeeded in achieving an ancient dream that has been experienced by people in villages for many years. However, after the opening of the "Community Frameworks Make Peace" projects in Jabal Habshi district, they have access to markets, livelihoods, services and health centres. 

 

Today, with the presence of the Under-Secretary of Taiz Governorate, Mr. Rashad Al Akhali, the Director-General of Jabal Habashi District, Engineer/ Fares Al Mulaiky, the Director of TYF, Taiz Office, Dr. Ibrahim Al Musalami, and a representative of Josoor Program in Taiz, Mr. Ma'een Al Obaidy; Al Mashjob Road in Al Shurajah, and Al Medhafah Road in Bani Bukari, Jabal Habshi District, were opened.

 

The opening comes after the completion of the construction and the expansion of Al Medhafa Road, a distance of 3 km, and paving parts of Al Mashjob Road, a distance of half a kilometer. These are two of five projects implemented within the "Community Frameworks Make Peace" projects. Moreover, the roads of Al Maratebah and Janas were paved, and Ain Al Kasr water system was rehabilitated.

 

The opening was also attended by the Director-General of the Social Affairs and Labor in Taiz, Mr. Abdo Ali Mohammed, the Director of Community Participation, Mr. Abdo Saif, the Director of the district's Public Works and Roads Office, Engineer/ Tariq Abdullah Mohammed, the Project Coordinator, Prof. Fathia Hezabar, members of local peace committees, a number of media professionals, activists, dignitaries, and a lot of community members.
