Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, Chairman of TYF, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, and a number of CSOs leaders met with the Director General of Police of Taiz Governorate, Brigadier-General Mansour Al Akhali, with a view to promote cooperation between security institutions and civil society in protecting human rights, security and community peace at the local level.

At the meeting, Brigadier-General Al Akhali welcomed the initiative of civil society. He was aware of the needs of security personnel to enhance their law enforcement capacities, contribute to social cohesion and protect vulnerable groups such as women and children.

The meeting agreed to activate channels of communication and launch a joint programme of action between the Security Services and CSOs in Taiz.
