Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), funded by Yemen Humantarian Pooled Fund (YHPF) , launched today the first distribution of food aid through cash transfers to 1910 poor families in Demnat Khadeer district, Taiz. Director of Tamdeen Youth Foundation in Ibb and Taiz governorates , Dr. Yazine Al-Hakimi explained that cash transfers are part of the Emergency Food Assistance Project in the district for the most vulnerable groups : (displaced, poor, marginalized, women-headed, and suffering from food insecure and has children under the age of five suffering from malnutrition). He added that the project will continue to provide assistance to these families for future monthly sessions, and confirmed that the beneficiaries were selected according to field surveys, with the participation of community committees that were elected by the people and the standards of food security cluster.
