Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily, Chairman of TYF, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, held a meeting today with the Director-General of Aden Post Ms. Lamia Mogwer. The meeting addressed future partnerships between TYF and the Post, the role of local CSOs in promoting the General Administration of the Post and restoring its full service, and developing local revenues through it, and through the Economic Recovery Initiative that TYF is preparing, and to be launched in partnership with government actors, the private sector and civil society.

At the meeting, Al Suhaily stressed the importance of the the Post role in the recovery and economic recovery phase as a point of contact between citizens and all government and private institutions, contributing effectively to the process of socio-economic development of the country and building a bridge between citizens at home and abroad, with its infrastructure and the most widespread electronic network in Yemen.

In turn, the Director-General of Aden Post praised the initiative of TYF, recognizing the importance of partnership with the government and the private sector, stressing that the Post and the General Administration in general have the capacity to deal with economic recovery and sustainable development plans and to enhance the effectiveness of humanitarian programs, while preserving the dignity and rights of the beneficiaries.

It has been agreed to activate communication between the two parties to lay the foundations for a sustainable partnership.
