Today in Aden, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between TYF, represented by its Chairman, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, and the National Cancer Control Foundation, represented by its Deputy Director, Mr. Ibrahim Ba Mafrosh.

The MoU included agreement on cooperation and coordination in the implementation of support and advocacy activities for cancer patients, the provision of health and social care to cancer patients, partnership in awareness-raising campaigns for the prevention and early detection of cancer, and contribution to the mobilization of resources to enable the Foundation to take care of patients.

TYF's Chairman has called for a partnership between the Government, private sector and CSOs to develop a cancer prevention and control strategy that ensures sustainable resources for oncological institutions, hospitals and centres, and to implement scientific research to monitor and collect data and early diagnosis and screening of cancers.

He also stressed the private sector, companies, groups and business houses to adhere to the system of social responsibility and environmental safety, and to reflect on an innovative approach to finance and investment in cancer prevention.
