Aden: Ministry of Local Administration Confirms Support and Partnership with Local Active Organizations
During the meeting held today by the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Local Administration in Aden, Mr. Awad Mushbah, together with the Assistant Under-Secretary of Financial Control Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Al Eissai, with Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, and Coordinator of the National Economic Recovery Program, Mr. Mushbah expressed the Ministry's support for active civil society organizations and partner with them in community development and economic recovery, enabling them to localize humanitarian action and lead the humanitarian response.
At the meeting, they discussed coordination and cooperation between CSOs and the Ministry of Local Administration in the institutional analysis of humanitarian and development projects and promoting the localization of assistance, thereby improving the living of citizens and the recovery of communities.
For his part, the Chairman of TYF outlined the objectives and strategies of the Localization and Recovery and stressed the importance of coordinating civil society organizations with government bodies and the private sector to partner in development, promote the role of Yemen’s institutions and contribute to institutional capacity-building.
Dr. Al Al Buraihi, a member of TYF’s Board of Trustees, also noted that the Foundation looks forward to establishing a genuine and effective partnership with the Ministry as it is the main basis for the development of local authorities and the supervisory authority, under the Local Authority Act and its implementing regulations.
