Chairman of TYF Discusses Partnership in Economic Empowerment With CAC Bank
Today in Aden, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, and Coordinator of the National Economic Recovery Program, discussed partnerships with the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank (CAC Bank) in providing sustainable community development programs and supporting recovery and economic recovery.
During his meeting with CAC Bank's Director of Corporate Governance, Mr. Salah Mohammed Naji Al Absi, Al Suhaily emphasized the role of the Bank in supporting recovery and economic empowerment, creating jobs, and reducing unemployment in Yemen.
He also pointed out the importance of partnership between CSOs, the Government, and the private sector to develop SMEs, support microfinance, small and medium-sized finance, and allocate a proportion of credit portfolios to banks to finance such projects, with a clear vision and strategy for the growth of this sector and ensuring the restoration of banks' rights.
Al Absi welcomed the partnership with CSOs in reforming the business environment, training and qualifying youth and women in establishing their own enterprises, raising the competitiveness of crafts, and facilitating access to finance and soft loans for socio-economic development.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mervat Al Gallabi, Manager of TYF’s Head Office in Aden, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, TYF’s Economic Empowerment Program Manager, Ms. Bushra Abdullah, TYF’s MEAL Officer, and Dr. Nadine Abdulkadir, TYF’s Government and Relations Liaison.
