Delegation from BMZ Visits Tamdeen Youth Foundation in Aden
Today in Aden, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, Director of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, together with Mr. Omar Al Samei, Grants and Partnerships Manager, received a delegation from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The delegation inculded Bernhard Worm, Senior Policy Officer at BMZ, Marcela Masiarik Head of Cooperation with Yemen at the German Embassy, accompanied by a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), and Anis Al Sharjabi, Senior Portfolio Coordinator from KFW Development Bank.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on TYF's work in economic empowerment, livelihood improvement and local development. They met with a group of beneficiaries of BMZ's support who received training, rehabilitation and assistance through Tamdeen Youth Foundation, and thus are now entrepreneurs with SMEs.
Thereafter, a panel discussion was held between the two parties to enhance cooperation and joint coordination in implementing development and service projects.
The delegation expressed its admiration for the efforts of Tamdeen Youth Foundation and its successes in serving the community and meeting its basic needs and requirements. They affirmed BMZ's support for a long-term partnership with TYF, and supporting its development tasks and objectives in all governorates.
For his part, TYF's Director expressed his pleasure with the visit, stressing the Foundation's keenness to strengthen cooperation with BMZ and all international partners in order to achieve the recovery of local communities and the sustainable development goals.
