Tamdeen Youth Distributes Toolkits to 50 Women in Al Khawkha

 

Funded by the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA), Tamdeen Youth Foundation on Sunday distributed toolkits to 50 women in Al Khawkha District. 

 

These toolkits aim to help women start their own small businesses in sail boats knitting and incense and perfume making, which will contribute to their economic empowerment and improve their standard of living with their households.

 

This distribution comes after the beneficiaries completed intensive training courses in knitting and sewing, incense and perfume industry, financial literacy, and small business establishment, which were designed to enhance their skills and provide them with the knowledge necessary to start their own businesses.

 

At the distribution ceremony, the General Manager of Al Khawkha District, Mr. Salem Alyan, stressed the importance of this project in improving the standard of living of the beneficiary women and achieving their financial independence. He also praised the design of the training courses to equip women with the skills and knowledge needed to start their own businesses.

 

Project Officer Eng. Ahmed Al Suwaidi stated: "We are so proud to implement this project in cooperation with UNMHA. It will have a positive impact on the lives of beneficiary women by improving their skills, increasing their income and achieving financial independence.

 

The beneficiaries also expressed their pleasure to receive the toolkits. They emphasized that this support will greatly help them improve their living conditions and achieve their dreams.

 

The ceremony was attended by the head of the Social Affairs Committee of the Local Council, Mr. Suleimani Nasser, the Vocational Training Representative in the governorate, Ms. Hwayda Alana, and the Representative of the Human Rights Office in the governorate, Ms. Entesar Anbari. 

 

The project of (Providing Toolkits for Beneficiaries of Technical Training Courses for 50 Women Head of Households in Al Kawkhah District, Al Hudaydah Governorate - Yemen) is the result of a successful partnership between Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) and the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA), and integration with the local authority to empower women and enhance their role in society. This provides them with better opportunities to participate in peacebuilding and development.
