Inauguration of 9 new classrooms at Al-Nahda School in Mawiyah District, Taiz Governorate
The local authorities in Mawiyah District, Taiz Governorate, inaugurated 9 classrooms and their annexes at Al-Nahda School in the Al-Badia area.
This achievement was made possible with the support of the Institutional and Economic Resilience in Yemen Project (SIERY) of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and through Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF).
The project included the construction of 9 classrooms equipped with the latest educational tools, the provision of 162 double school desks, in addition to the restoration of the school fence to ensure the safety of students.
These classrooms will contribute to increasing the school's capacity and providing better educational opportunities for more than 700 male and female students in a safe and stimulating environment.
We appreciate the generous funding from the European Union for (SIERY) project, which enhances educational opportunities for children in the most affected areas and effectively contributes to empowering local communities in Yemen.
