Tamdeen Youth: 12 Years of Impact and Leadership
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Muslimi
Colleagues at Tamdeen Youth Foundation celebrate the twelfth anniversary of its establishment, a significant milestone in the journey of civil and development work in Yemen. This occasion serves as living proof of the ability of local initiatives to make a real difference despite the challenges. Since its launch in 2012, Tamdeen Youth has chosen a path that is both difficult and necessary: investing in people, building societies capable of advancement, and strengthening the roles of youth as agents of change, not just recipients of aid.
Over these years, the Foundation has painted a comprehensive development picture, implementing hundreds of projects that have touched the reality and needs of people in vital sectors such as governance, education, peacebuilding, protection, water and environmental sanitation, economic empowerment, and social cohesion. The impact was not limited to the size of the interventions but rather in their quality and participatory approach, which made society a partner, not just a beneficiary.
Tamdeen Youth has managed to establish its presence in one of the most complex environments and has been able to maintain its professional and humanitarian balance amidst successive political and security conflicts and crises. Working in the field, getting close to people's concerns, and dealing practically with their priorities have made the Foundation a role model in flexibility and the ability to adapt without compromising principles.
Tamdeen Youth has proven that change is not a postponed luxury, but a daily practice that begins with belief in the idea and sincere collective action. It has also shown that true development begins when institutions stop looking at societies as a burden and see them for what they are: a source of solutions and a partner in building. For this reason, the Foundation has earned the respect and trust of its local and international partners and has become an example of how emerging institutions can transform into a well-established development reference. What it has achieved over twelve years of accomplishments is a source of pride, not only for the Foundation but for everyone who believes that Yemen has capable energies for building despite the pain.
Sincerely,,,
