Tamedin Youth Foundation (TYF) Launches the Distribution of Shelter and WASH Assistance to Displaced People in Al-Dhale’e

With support from Yemen Humanitarian Fund (YHF), Tamedin Youth Foundation (TYF) launched the distribution of emergency shelter assistance to displaced families and conflict-affected communities in Al-Dhale’e District, Al-Dhale’e Governorate. The initiative coincides with the arrival of the winter season and aims to alleviate their humanitarian suffering.

 

The launch included the distribution of 500 comprehensive shelter kits containing mattresses, blankets, cooking and household utensils, mosquito nets, and other essential items. The assistance will benefit 3,500 displaced people and members of the host community. In addition, 357 water filters were distributed to displacement camps in the district to improve the quality of drinking water, benefiting 2,500 displaced people.

 

The launch was attended by Dr. Ridwan Al-Kahli, Director of the Executive Unit for the Management of Displacement Camps in the governorate; Mr. Adel Ahmed Ali Al-Jamri, Director General of the Social Affairs and Labor Office in Al-Dhale’e Governorate; First Deputy Governor Saleh Ahmed Saleh; Deputy Governor Nasr Qasim; and representatives of Tamedin Youth Foundation.

 

This activity is part of the project “Integrated Life-Saving Assistance in the Areas of Multipurpose Cash, Shelter/Non-Food Items, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Conflict-Affected Communities in Al-Dhale’e District.”
