With support from Pure Hands Organization, Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) distributed shelter assistance to displaced families in Taiz City as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of displaced people and supporting the most vulnerable families amid the prevailing humanitarian conditions.

The intervention targets 980 displaced and vulnerable families in the city by providing essential shelter items, including carpets, bed sheets, and other basic necessities. This assistance will help improve the living conditions of the beneficiary families.

Assistant Project Manager Sadiq Mahyoub explained that the beneficiaries were identified in coordination with the Executive Unit for the Management of Displaced Persons Camps in Taiz Governorate, which provided the lists of nominated beneficiaries. The data was then verified and reviewed before the distribution process was carried out, in accordance with approved procedures to ensure that the assistance reached those most in need.

For his part, Director General of the Taiz Governorate Office of Social Affairs and Labor, Mr. Fouad Al-Faqih, praised the efforts of Tamdeen Youth Foundation and Pure Hands Organization in supporting the humanitarian response. He stressed the importance of expanding interventions to meet the needs of the most vulnerable families, while prioritizing women, children, older people, and persons with disabilities.

This intervention is part of joint efforts to strengthen the humanitarian response to the needs of residents in Taiz City and support displaced families in facing livelihood challenges by providing essential assistance in coordination with the relevant authorities.
