Yemeni Youth National Initiative
Based on Tamdeen Youth Foundation's strategy, which includes promotion of the socio-economic integration of youth in Yemen to contribute to the peacebuilding process and create conditions for long-term reconstruction and development, and after organizing a virtual meeting via Zoom, on Wednesday, 06/23/2021, with the U.S. Envoy to Yemen, Mr. Tim Lender King, with 14 Yemeni youth organizations, entitled "Youth and Peace... Challenges and Recommendations to Support their Role in Promoting Peacebuilding Efforts", TYF has designed the proposal of the Yemeni Youth National Initiative, believing that it and its partners are able to do what others have been unable to do, as they are present and active in all Yemeni geography, through a multidimensional approach that does not exclude any group of youth and that works to achieve a comprehensive benefit.
Overall objective:
Promote the social, economic, and political integration of youth to improve the peace-building process and create conditions for long-term reconstruction and development, through localizing of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2250. via an integrated system that brings all efforts together, directs, and develops them to ensure the quality and efficiency of its outputs.
Outcomes:
- Outcomes (1): Strengthening the infrastructure of Youth CSOs to effectively contribute to the peacebuilding and development process with directed and united efforts and energies.
- Outcomes (2): Young people strategically linked to decision-makers at the national and international levels to contribute effectively to building peace and development, believing in their capabilities and their vision for a better future for Yemen.
- Outcomes (3): Young people with meaningful educational experiences and professional skills, compatible with the needs of the labor market.
- Outcomes (4): Expand the range of opportunities available to young people through comprehensive employment programs, and by financing small projects and start-ups enhanced by the necessary skills to sustain their projects, based on an analysis of promising value chains.
- Outcomes (5): Young people with good physical and psychological health, with ensuring effective prevention of health risks and improved access to health services.
