Solar energy is an alternative source to have access to clean and sustainable drinking water

Residents of Qawan village in Jahran district, Dhammar governorate faced a severe shortage of clean water supplies to their homes due to the oil derivatives crisis and the suspension of the diesel-powered water project, so many of them were forced to drink from unsanitary water.

Tamdeen Youth Tamdeen Foundation (TYF), in partnership with UNICEF, has implemented a rehabilitation for the project and installed a 22,500-watt solar power system, and enabled 1410 residents of the village to have access to clean and sustainable drinking water.
