A cleaning campaign to lift 70 tons of garbage in Al-Swaida market in Mawiyah
Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) launched today (Monday) a clean campaign to lift 70 tons of garbage and accumulated waste in Al-Swaida market in Mawiyah district in Taiz city. The campaign comes in coordination with the Hygiene and Improvement Fund in the district, and within the activities of the Integrative Emergency Assistance Project, which is implemented by the foundation in Mawiyah and As Silw and with the support of the Humanitarian Pooled Fund (HPF).The WASH team in the project has implemented clean-up campaigns during the past months in (Al-Sharman, Al-Swaida, and Jobalah ) markets in Mawiyah. It has Cleaned water tanks in the district and sterilized them with chlorine, and distributed hygiene bags in the areas and villages affected by cholera. The project teams continue their tasks to improve health and environmental life, with the participation and interaction of the population, whose awareness of the importance of personal and public hygiene has been increased.
