The new mechanism of the emergency response of displaced persons project in a special workshop in the Foundation’s office in Ibb city
Sponsored by the United Nations Population Fund UNFPA, a workshop on the emergency response project for displaced persons (RRM), which is being implemented by the Foundation with the support of the UN Fund, was held today (Monday) in the office of Tamdeen youth Foundation in Ibb city. The workshop addressed the “new mechanism for monitoring and registering families who have recently displaced from the conflict in central Yemen, and meeting their basic human needs, according to the criteria of emergency displacement based on accuracy, transparency and principles of humanitarian action on the protection of internally displaced persons and the preservation of their dignity”.
The challenges of the project work were shared and discussed with the project team and representatives of the relevant authoritie to integrate and overcome the efforts.
At the end of the workshop, representatives of the supporting authorities and partners expressed their appreciation for the humanitarian role played by Tamdeen Youth Foundation, praising the efficiency of its emergency response project team and the tangible success it achieved during the past months. The team was enable to reach 3041 displaced families in 12 districts in Ibb city, provide humanitarian assistance to them in record times and enable them to withstand and integrate into the host communities.
The workshop was attended by the project coordinator at the UN Fund in Yemen/Anwar Sharma, the fund project coordinator in the Ibb,Taiz and Ad Dhalea/Nader Al-Mansour, the director of the WFP office in Ibb, a representative of the International Organization for Migration, the food security bloc coordinators, protection and shelter, and a group of the monitoring and registering of displacement. The Emergency Response Team of Tamdeen Foundation has started its tasks in the second phase of the project by monitoring and registering displaced families in Ibb and Ad Dhalea cities and providing them with urgent assistance.
