It arranges for launching “Tamdeen National Network for volunteering” Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) celebrates the International Volunteer Day and honors its volunteers.
Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) celebrated the International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 5 each year. This is based on the foundation’s approach to promoting the value of volunteering to serve the community and to ensure the participation of young people, to invest their energies, to develop their skills, and to foster their talents and creativity.
The male and female volunteers with the foundation were honored at the celebration. The Executive Director, Dr. Nagibah Al Mahdi, expressed her gratitude for the roles they play, their belief in the message of humanitarian action, and their dedicated time, effort and thought to help civilians affected by war and conflict in Yemen and to change their lives for the better. Al Mahdi revealed that Tamdeen Youth Foundation has arranged for launching ” Tamdeen National Network for Volunteering to attract and train those willing to volunteer from school and university students, as well as all components of society, from individuals and institutions, to serve the various humanitarian issues, activities and programs, especially as the volunteer system in the world and societies evolves from year to year, with the determination to keep up with these variables that establishes a systematic and privileged human and social work.
The Officer of Volunteering Department at Tamdeen Youth Foundation /Sa’adah Al-Areeqi also delivered a speech in which she confirmed that “the foundation was based on volunteering and that humanitarian action needs joint effort and integrated expertise and competence of every individual in the society who finds him/herself able to give” “Volunteering is a moral school, an education field, a life-print, and a passion to help others and serve communities, and making changes begin with volunteering.” She added. In turn, male and female volunteers expressed their appreciation for the role of Tamdeen Youth Foundation in establishing a culture of volunteerism in Yemeni society, attracting young men and women and drawing the right beginnings that guarantee their success in life and give them a chance to succeed.
