Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) enables people in remote rural areas to have access to clean water

Residents of Marsabah village in Ans district, Dhammar governorate, faced a severe shortage of clean water supplies to their homes due to being affected by war and the crisis of oil products. Many of them were forced to use unsafe water sources, causing the spread of waterborne diseases, especially cholera.

Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), in partnership with UNICEF, was able to build a 9-meter-high tower water tank with a capacity of 100 cubic meters, a pumping and control room for the project, and to install a solar power system with a capacity of 27,500 watts, as well as extending a 5,982-meter- pipe network of galvanized iron with various diameters.

Today, clean drinking water reaches 600 homes, and to ensure sustainability, a community committee has been trained to manage, operate and maintain the project.
