The RRM project teams intensify their efforts as the wave of displacement continues from Al Dhalea governorate
These families were forced to flee their homes to seek the safety of the war hell in Al Dhalea governorate to swallow the bitterness of displacement in the wilds. They try to protect themselves with stones and terbals(plastic rugs) as shelters, but that does not protect them from the heat of the sun in the day or from the winter frost at night, although the majority of them are women and children.
Field teams in the RRM project, which is being implemented by Tamdeen Youth Foundation in partnership with the UNFPA, met with displaced families and listened to their stories. The teams provided life-saving assistance to alleviate their suffering.
From last Saturday to yesterday (Thursday) the project teams were able to assist 92 newly displaced families to the districts of (Al Dhihar, Al Makhadir, Al Mashannah, Reef Ibb, As Sabrah, As Sayyani) in Ibb city. The teams also managed to reach 125 displaced families in Damt and Qatabah districts in Al Dhalea governorate and provided them with emergency assistance . The total number of newly displaced families to which the project provided basic needs during the period from last May to yesterday (Thursday) is 5,524 families.
