Mawiyah and Al-Sluw, Taiz: Effective Response to the Urgent Needs of the Population
As a result of the deterioration of the health situation in Yemen and the spread of infectious diseases, Tamdeen Youth focuses on helping the population to obtain basic services and overcome the humanitarian tragedy of the war. In cooperation with the Humanitarian Pooled Fund (HPF), Tamdeen Youth implemented the project of Emergency Integrated Health and Nutrition Assistance and Water Supply and Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion during the period from November1, 2018 to October 31, 2019. The project has successfully implemented interventions to combat communicable diseases, treated more than 80 cases of diarrhea as cholera and dozens of malnourished children, re-operated health units, provided workers with financial incentives and provided these units with medicines, medical equipment and solar systems. At the same time, field teams continue to work in the examination, treatment and purification of water sources, distribute cholera prevention kits, conduct awareness sessions and deliver hygiene messages and infectious diseases prevention.
