Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF), In partnership with CARE International, launched project of WASH Critical Needs in Heifan and Al Wazayah districts, Taiz. In the workshop of the project, which was held in Al-Turbah city, the head of WASH team in CARE International in Taiz / Ibb Eng. Montaser Taha presented the project with its objectives, mechanisms of implementation and the tasks of technical and field teams, stressing community participation in the project and motivating them to volunteer and adopt self-initiatives in the field of hygiene And disposal of all environmental pollutants in the geographical scope of the project. For his part, the director of Tamdeen Youth Foundation in Taiz, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Musallami praised the strategic partnership with CARE and its confidence in the efficiency and the expertise of Tamdeen teams. He Explained that the project will target Al-Dharifah sub-district in Al-Wazayah and Al-Athawir and Al-Ahkum in Haifan, and will carry out preventive activities of the cholera epidemic and infectious diseases that spread in Taiz, especially with the onset of the rainy season. He also pointed out that the project will distribute 1000 health kits and 60 thousand tablets of chlorine to ensure clean drinking water for citizens, and it will build capacity of 60 volunteers to enable them to educate the community in safe and healthy ways to prevent from cholera, malaria, dengue fever and waste disposal.  The project teams distributed chlorine tablets to sterilize water for 1,450 families in Al-Wazayah, while carrying out health awareness sessions for these families. The services and activities of the project will continue until the end of October, 2019. The project comes at a time when Tamdeen Foundation, in partnership with CARE, is implementing the ECHOIII project to prevent cholera, communicable diseases and environmental protection in six districts in Taiz
