Dr. Ali Al Buraihy, Member of TYF’s Board of Trustees, met with the Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Local Administration in Aden, Mr. Awad Mushbah to discuss optimizing the humanitarian response mechanisms in Yemen, and coordination and joint cooperation to promote the localization of humanitarian assistance and promote peace efforts.

The general objective of the humanitarian localization initiative in Yemen is to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of society and to make the decision regarding humanitarian response as a key entry point towards a transition to early recovery and the promotion of peace efforts.

At the meeting, attended by the Director-General of the Financial Calendar of the Ministry, Mr. Mustafa Alburaihy, Mr. Mushbah stressed that civil society organizations and their initiatives are the focal point between government and the community. This, in turn, contributes to positive change, stability, economic recovery and sustainable development, apart from making optimal use of targeted livelihood and community empowerment projects.
