Tamdeen Youth Launches the Distribution of Irrigation Systems to a Number of Farmers in Tur Al Bahah, Lahj Governorate

As part of Supporting Resilient Livelihoods and Food Security Project in Yemen, funded by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Tamdeen Youth Foundation has launched the distribution of Modern Irrigation Systems to five farmers in Tur Al Bahah district, Lahj governorate.

 

The launch was attended by the Director-General of Tur Al Bahah district, Mr. Abdul Raqib Al Bukairy, who emphasized the importance of this project in supporting and encouraging farmers to produce agriculture and improve their living income.

 

The Local Authority, the Office of Agriculture and Seeds Agricultural Association have honored Tamdeen Youth Foundation for its efforts and success in Tur Al Bahah through its empowerment interventions in the agricultural sector.

 


The Modern irrigation systems reduce agricultural costs by 50-60 percent, while their efficiency is more than 85 percent higher than normal methods.
