TYF’s Chairman: Kuwait Is the Most Influential Brother Country in Supporting Development and Peace in Yemen
Today, Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, met with the Deputy Director of the Kuwait Society for Relief (Yemen Office), Dr. Adel Baeshen, and discussed together future cooperation and partnership between TYF and the Kuwait Society.
At the meeting, Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily expressed his high appreciation for the role played by the Kuwait Society in implementing relief and humanitarian projects, sustaining basic public services, providing living assets to the most needy population, and providing relief to the Yemeni people, through the "Kuwait Beside you Campaign", in food, shelter, education, health and water, in all Yemeni governorates, as well as in the strategic projects implemented by the Kuwait Development Fund
"Kuwait had not abandoned Yemen in all the political and economic conditions it had experienced, and had been associated with Yemeni events and changes and had contributed to their resolution" Al Suhaily said
"For more than 50 years, Kuwait's role has been linked to its ability to find sloutions, adopt service projects and develop infrastructure throughout Yemen. This has made Kuwait the most influential country in Yemen in supporting development and peace options, and bringing the Yemeni parties closer to many phases of the conflict,". Al Suhaily added
Al-Suhaili also emphasized that this generous support will continue to be appreciated by all Yemenis for their brothers in Kuwait.
For his part, the Deputy Director of the Kuwait Society for Relief praised the interventions and projects implemented by TYF, and the level of quality and institutional approach in its work.
He confirmed their support for the Localization of Humanitarian Action Initiative in Yemen, adopted by Tamdeen Youth, and for the National Program for Economic Recovery and Development, which TYF is preparing and its objectives are in line with the Kuwait Society's interventions to enhance the capacity of basic public institutions, sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment of Yemenis, and to turn them into self-reliant producers.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Ali Alburaihey, a member of TYF's Board of Trustees, Dr. Tammam Al Hetari, TYF's Programs Manager, Ms. Bushra Abdullah, TYF's MEAL Officer, Dr. Nadine Abdel Qadir, TYF's Relations Officer, and Ola Al Saqqaf, Coordinator of Enhancing Community Peace and Security Project.
