Aden Deputy Governor for Youth: Civil Society Organizations Are an Essential Partner of the Local Authority
Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth, Coordinator of the Humanitarian Action Localization Initiative in Yemen, met today, Wednesday, with Aden Deputy Governor for Youth Affairs, Mr. Abdul Raouf Al Saqqaf. They discussed mechanisms of integration between the local authority and civil society to meet the needs of youth and invest their energies, knowledge and experience in economic recovery and development.
At the meeting, Al Suhaily reviewed the challenges related to the local environment facing youth and the mechanisms and means to overcome them.
He explained that TYF had a national initiative to rehabilitate and prepare youth to meet the needs of the recovery and reconstruction phases, and to implement sustainable development programs and projects, and this will only be achieved with the support of local authorities and development partners.
For his part, Aden Deputy Governor praised the role of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, and its outstanding role in building youth capacities, implementing income-generating projects, developing skills, and improving livelihoods.
He stressed that CSOs are a key partner for the local authority in the humanitarian response, development, and providing services that touch the lives of citizens.
