Mawayah and Al-Silw in Taiz: Tamdeen Youth Foundation fights cholera and treats malnourished people
Tamdeen Youth Foundation (TYF) provided more than 7 thousand patients with public health services in 6 health facilities, which were re-operated since the beginning of 2019 and it provided them with medicines and financial incentives for their health workers through the Emergency Integrated Assistance Project for the most vulnerable groups, funded by Yemen Humanitarian Pooled Fund (YHF) and continuing until the end of October. Because of the poor living conditions in the districts, the Foundation has saved 309 children under the age of five who have been severely malnourished through these facilities and they were received and treated until recovery. The Foundation has also established five corners for the treatment of cholera and diarrhea during the past four weeks and these corners provided therapeutic services for 790 cases in Mawayah and Al-Silw. Teams of the Foundation, medical staff and volunteers with the project provide humanitarian services despite the risks and threats faced them because of the conflict. Finally, Tamdeen Youth Foundation wishes safety and health for all and hope to depolarize the crisis suffered by Yemenis.
