Aden: Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation and Director of Skills Development Fund Discuss Partnership in Youth Empowerment
Mr. Hussien Al Suhaily, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, Coordinator of the National Economic Recovery Program, met today with the Executive Director of the Skills Development Fund Dr. Abdullah Daghem, and discussed with him the reality of the Fund, the challenges and difficulties facing its work, and mechanisms for developing the strategic partnership between the Fund and TYF.
At the meeting, Al Suhaily explained that the Economic Recovery Initiative pays particular attention to restoring the role of the Fund and to reviving and activating the activity of all vocational, technical and industrial institutions through a comprehensive program to rehabilitate the infrastructure of all institutions, provide them with the necessary needs to train youth and women, and provide the country with qualified personnel and skilled personnel in all disciplines, so as to meet the requirements of the recovery and reconstruction phases.
He stressed that the development of the skills and capabilities of the human cadre is the basis for moving towards a productive society, and the real guarantee of recovery and economic development.
He also appealed to the Prime Minister to direct all ministries and public institutions to provide financial commitments to the Skills Development Fund, to provide the necessary support and assistance to the technical and vocational education sector, and to work towards the reform and development of government institutes to rehabilitate human cadre and contribute to ...nation-building
For his part, the Director of the Skills Development Fund praised the active partnership with TYF. He emphasized support for the economic recovery initiative and for promoting coordination and integration with CSOs and the private sector in the areas of youth and women's development and empowerment, linking the Fund's programs to development, relief and the needs of the local labor market, and combining soft loans for youth with capacity-building and skills development on feasibility studies, micro-enterprise procedures, micro-budgeting and profit calculation.
He pointed out to the role of CSOs in supporting the Fund's work, advocating for technical education and vocational training issues and educating youth about promising socio-economic sectors and future disciplines.
A committee has been established by both parties to develop the strategic partnership and prepare a plan to promote the capacity of public institutions concerned with skills development and the needs of youth associated with recovery and reconstruction.
