Tamdeen Youth Foundation continues to hold meetings with government agencies, the private sector and other humanitarian and development partners in Yemen in order to unite efforts and capacities, invest resources, assistance and grants for economic recovery, and implement projects with sustainable impact.

In this context, Dr. Tammam Al Hetari, TYF's Programs Director, and Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, TYF's Economic Empowerment Program Manager, met today in Aden with the Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Transport, Mr. Bassam Al Mafalhi. They briefed him on the summary of TYF's two initiatives for economic recovery and optimization of humanitarian response mechanisms, paying attention to the recovery of the transport sector, uniting the efforts of the Government, CSOs and the private sector to operate and develop ports, activating commercial and maritime activity to allow the flow of humanitarian aid, as well as reducing the wages of transport and the prices of goods and services to citizens.

They also emphasized TYF's support to build the capacity of government institutions, raise the efficiency of the human staff, and coordinate the preparation of a program to restore the economic growth through the recovery of vital sectors, including the transport sector, and the link between humanitarian and development action and community peace.

For his part, the Director General of the Minister's Office welcomed the efforts of TYF, and confirmed cooperation with it and all local and international organizations and the private sector, to improve transport during the next phase, by implementing priority projects, adopting strategic plans that are interested in providing services and facilities to citizens, and contributing closely to the development of resources, and the advancement of the economic movement, and the recovery of the national economy.

This meeting was attended by Mr. Ahmed Saeed Al Wahsh and Mr. No'man Faiz, TYF's consultants, Dr. Nadin Abdulkader, TYF's Liaison Officer, and Ms. Bushra  Abdullah, TYF's MEAL Officer.
