Aden: Tamdeen Youth Discusses Cooperation With the Fisheries Union in Building Fishermen’s Capacity
Today in Aden, Tamdeen Youth Foundation discussed its Economic Recovery Initiatives and coordination and cooperative mechanisms with the Fisheries Cooperative Union's Chairman, Mr. Ali Ben Sheba, to restore the Union's role in promoting fish production, enabling fishermen whose livelihoods have been disrupted to recover and rebuild their lives, thereby contributing to economic growth.
At the meeting, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, TYF's Economic Empowerment Program Manager, presented the Economic Recovery Initiative, explaining that it paid particular attention to fishermen, studying their needs, and supporting unions, associations, cooperatives, and valuable chains of fish production.
For his part, the Union's Chairman expressed his pleasure with the meeting, and confirmed working with local organizations to build a real partnership with them, noting the need for training fishermen, and providing them with modern fishing equipment, including boats, engines and fishing nets.
The meeting was attended by TYF's Liaison Officer, Dr. Nadin Abdulkadir, its MEAL Officer, Ms. Bushra Abdullah, its Consultant, Eng. Ahmed Al Wahsh, and its Coordinator, Mr. Faiz Noaman.
