Today, in Aden, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, TYF's Economic Empowerment Program Manager, met with the Chairman of the Agriculture Research and Extension Authority, Dr. Abdullah Alwan, and discussed with him cooperation and partnership in the field of scientific research to increase and improve plant and animal production and expand the agricultural area, based on modern techniques.

At the meeting, Al Qubati emphasized TYF's support for capacity-building and institutional development of the Authority, as the recovery of the agricultural sector is linked to the activation of the role of the Authority and its scientific research.

In turn, Alwan welcomed the partnership with Tamdeen Youth Foundation. He explained that the Authority has been severely affected by the last years of the war, and that rebuilding its infrastructure is an important starting point in the recovery of the agricultural sector, improving the living standard of farmers and coping with climate change.

He also pointed out that overcoming Yemen's food crisis needs to direct humanitarian assistance towards agricultural and development projects, support public institutions and bodies, and develop the capacity of the cadres and research centres to increase production and achieve economic recovery.

The meeting was attended by TYF's Liaison Officer, Dr. Nadin Abdulkadir, and MEAL Officer, Ms. Bushra Abdullah.
