Al Suhaily: Economic Empowerment of Yemeni Women Is an Essential Element in Recovery and Overall Development
At TYF's celebration of International Women's Day, Al Suhaily said, "Yemeni women are the group most affected by the ongoing war, while calling for an end to the war that has destroyed Yemen and human beings.
He also called on the world to support women's voices for peace, emphasizing the importance of developing solutions and responses to the various issues affecting women in Yemen in various areas, and of working to develop their role in recovery and sustainable development.
"The economic empowerment of Yemeni women is an essential element in overall recovery and development, through vocational training, promoting their role in community leadership, improving their access to education, health, and WASH services, and enabling them to contribute to tangible and sustainable change within their society."
Al Suhaily also paid tribute to all women working for TYF and said, "thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all women in Tamdeen Youth for their great efforts in the field of humanitarian action, community service and vulnerable groups."
He concluded that women are the symbol of good and peace, and the elixir of life, which is half of society and the incubator of the other half.
