High-level UNCHR Delegation Praises TYF's Active Role in CCCM for IDPs
The delegation, with High Commissioner's Assistant for Operations, Raouf Mazou, UNHCR's Regional Director for the MENA, Ayman Gharaibeh, and UNHCR's Resident Representative in Yemen, Maya Ameratunga, spoke with displaced persons about their struggle and hopes, and stressed that the IDPs deserve support to rebuild their lives with hope and dignity.
After the visit, UNHCR's delegation praised the active role played by Tamdeen Youth Foundation in managing and coordinating services for IDPs, and its team dedication to helping people who had to flee their homes. They stressed the importance of expanding the positive and productive partnership with TYF in meeting the needs of the IDPs.
In turn, Eng. Badreddine Al Fahd, Chairman of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, expressed his pleasure with the visit, and appreciated UNHCR's humanitarian response in Yemen and the vital assistance it provides to the displaced and the host community.
He emphasized TYF's keenness to expand the partnership with UNHCR, and its commitment to making a difference in the lives of Yemen's most vulnerable displaced families.
