FCDO YEMEN Team Visits Tamdeen Youth Foundation for Bilateral Coordination
Yesterday in Aden, Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, Director of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, received the humanitarian team at the FCDO YEMEN Office headed by Ms. Louis Davis, Social Development Advisor, along with Emily Henderson, Humanitarian Advisor, Sheikha Bazarah, Director of Food Security Safety Network Programme, and Aevil Cummings John, Advisor in Social Development, who briefed them on the progress of TYF's work, programs, projects and activities in the fields of humanitarian response, economic empowerment and local development.
The team expressed its admiration for TYF's performance, its innovative projects in economic empowerment and digital finance, its interest in creating jobs and sustainable impact, and its serious efforts to contribute to the localization of humanitarian and development action, preserving the environment and confronting climate change.
For his part, Al Qubati expressed his pleasure with the visit, praising the role of the United Kingdom in mobilizing funding for the humanitarian response in Yemen, and its support for early recovery and development.
He also emphasized TYF's keenness to partner with the FCDO in the field of enhancing food security and livelihoods, supporting and empowering young men and women in entrepreneurship, innovation, providing job opportunities through various training and incubation programs, as well as preserving the environment and biodiversity and combating climate change.
The two parties agreed to unite efforts to achieve common goals and promote sustainable development.
