Aden... Tamdeen Youth Foundation Celebrates Its 10th Anniversary

Today in Aden, Tamdeen Youth Foundation organized its tenth anniversary celebration. The celebration was attended by Major General, Ahmed Abdullah Al Turki, Governor of Lahij Governorate, Major General Ali Moqbel Saleh, Governor of Al Dhalea Governorate, Mahdi Mohammed Al Hamid, Deputy Governor, Secretary General of the Local Council in Abyan Governorate, Abdul Raouf Al Saqqaf, Undersecretary of Aden Governorate, and Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Local Administration, Agriculture and Social Affairs, representatives of CSOs, international organizations, the private sector and women and youth leaders.
At the celebration, Major General Ali Moqbel Saleh, Governor of Al Dhalea Governorate, congratulated TYF's leadership and all its staff on TYF's tenth anniversary. He praised the Foundation's efforts and effective contribution with its young and creative energies in helping to alleviate the situation and suffering of people in various governorates, including Al Dhalea Governorate, especially in the fields of education and various humanitarian aspects, such as rehabilitation, training and access to employment opportunities for young people. He stressed on behalf of the local authority's leadership to support and provide all facilities for the work and humanitarian efforts implemented by Tamdeen Youth Foundation and other foundations, in order to achieve the public interest.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration, Abdul Latif Al Fujair, expressed his pleasure at participating in this celebratory event organized by Tamdeen Youth Foundation after 10 years of humanitarian and development action, and contributing effectively to developing the capabilities of young men and women, facilitating their access to job opportunities, as well as providing services in various sectors.
On behalf of the Ministry of Local Administration, he called on all civil society organizations and foundations to find a genuine partnership that achieves the goals and ambitions of meeting citizens' needs, especially the poorest.
Mr. Hussein Mohammed Abdu Moqbel Al Suhaily, Founder of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, gave a welcoming speech in which he gave an introductory overview of the establishment of Tamdeen Youth Foundation ten years ago, and how it turned from an idea into a tangible practical reality.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to everyone contributed to the success of the Foundation's work from the government, the leaders of local authorities in the governorates, international donor organizations, local and international partners and all work staff, who were credited after Allah for reaching this success.
He called for the importance of developing a joint strategy involving government agencies and civil society organizations that identified priorities in meeting the needs of people and targeted areas, and enhanced CSOs' role in humanitarian action sustainable development, starting from developing the capabilities of young men and women in various fields and disciplines.
Mr. Nashwan Al Qubati, CEO of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, gave a comprehensive presentation of TYF's future vision for the next phase, which aims to improve the socioeconomic life of local communities, support SMEs and improve social services and infrastructure in rural and urban areas.
He also mentioned TYF's ten-year achievements in the targeted areas of over 107 projects, covering 12 Yemeni governorates, benefiting nearly four million people. He stressed that this would not have been possible without the interest in creating a real partnership that TYF sought with organizations, local authorities and government agencies, which has resulted in such great success.
Al Qubati pointed to the most important features of TYF's future strategy, which will focus on socioeconomic development, conservation of the environment, and enhancement and development of youth capabilities by intensifying training and qualification work in technical and vocational fields and disciplines, and in the forefront is the embodiment of ambition to keep pace with the times by introducing digital transformation and digitizing all TYF's work.
A number of speeches were delivered by Mr. Shadi, Food Security Cluster Officer, and a speech on civil society and women's organizations by Ms. Sabah Badri Bakir, all of which praised the efforts of Tamdeen Youth Foundation, and pointed to the importance of creating a real partnership between various organizations and foundations working in this field.
A documentary report on Tamdeen Youth Foundation's activities was presented. A number of beneficiaries also presented models and success stories for their various projects.
The celebration concluded with Tamdeen Youth Foundation honoring the leaders of Aden, Lahij, Abyan and Al Dhalea Governorates, institutions, organizations, partners and personalities supporting the programs and work of Tamdeen Youth Foundation.
The celebration was attended by Director of Tadhamon Bank, Dr. Fares Gharsan, Director of Al Qutaibi Bank in Crater, Nawaf Kutbi, Director of the National Cancer Control Foundation, Ibrahim Bamfroush, and Director of Kuwait Society in Yemen, Dr. Adel Baeshen.
It was also attended by representatives of international organizations such as Ms. Bushra Al Leswas, Josoor Peacebuilding Program, Mr. Khalil Ibrahim, Danish Refugee Council, Mr. Abdu Mohsen, United Nations Development Program, Yousra Saleh, Handicap Organization, and Ghada Al Attar, United Nations Fund.
It is worth mentioning that Tamdeen Youth Foundation, on its celebration, organized an exhibition for craft and professional products for beneficiaries trained, qualified and supported by the Foundation.
