Tamdeen Youth Foundation Condemns the Assassination of WFP Humanitarian Worker in At Turbah Town, Taiz
Tamdeen Youth Foundation strongly condemns the treacherous attack on the humanitarian worker Moayad Hamidi, a staff member of the World Food Programme (WFP) in Taiz governorate, which led to his death on Friday. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, and to WFP, its office in Yemen and all its staff. We declare our full solidarity with them in these difficult circumstances.
This horrific crime targets the work of the World Food Programme (WFP) and its significant humanitarian role in providing relief to the Yemeni people, and food rations to millions of IDPs affected by the conflict and humanitarian crisis in Yemen. We call on the competent authorities and security agencies to act urgently to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Tamdeen Youth Foundation also stresses the importance of supporting humanitarian action and protecting workers in this vital field. It calls on all parties to the conflict in Yemen to condemn these heinous terrorist acts and to cooperate in providing the necessary protection to relief workers and humanitarian supplies to the Yemenis in these difficult times.
