Cooperation Agreement Between Tamdeen Youth Foundation and Taiz University in Water and Environmental Studies
Today, Thursday, an agreement of cooperation in the field of water and environmental studies was signed between Tamdeen Youth Foundation, represented by Dr. Ibrahim Al Musalami, and Taiz University, represented by Dr. Riyadh Al Oqab, Vice President for Student Affairs.
The agreement stipulates that Taiz University will implement two research studies, the first on "Wadi Al Dabab flowing water as a runoff in the rainy season, summer, and the possibility of utilizing it to cover water needs and the sustainability of agricultural production", and the second on "the current situation of solid waste in Taiz and its impact on humans and the environment, with a view to developing an integrated program for the management and utilization of this waste, taking into account public health and the preservation of the environment."
After the signing, Dr. Al Musalami said that Tamdeen Foundation is keen to benefit from the scientific expertise at Taiz University in the field of studies and research, enabling stakeholders to finance and implement projects on scientific bases.
For his part, Dr. Al Oqab stressed the University's readiness to cooperate and integrate with various foundations and bodies to serve community issues.
This agreement comes within the BMZ project, which is implemented by TYF, in partnership with Oxfam, and with funding from the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
