Providing 140 Young Men and Women With a Second Installment of Financial Grants to Establish Their Own SMEs

140 young men and women in Ash Shamayatain and Al Ma'afer Districts, Taiz Governorate, received a second installment of financial grants to establish their SMEs and improve their livelihoods in livestock and beekeeping. This is part of "Improving Livelihoods and Resilience of the Most Vulnerable Conflict-Affected Particularly Women and Youth", implemented by Tamdeen Youth Foundation in partnership with Oxfam, and with funding from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

This comes after young men and women received training courses in business establishment, financial knowledge and management, and the development of their capacity to grow income-generating businesses. They also received the first installment of financial grants and had their projects achievements monitored.

The young men and women expressed their pleasure with the economic empowerment project approach, which will enable them to start their businesses and provide a sustainable source of income for themselves and their families.

One of the project's most important objectives, according to Eyad Sultan, Project Officer, is to empower youth to become more self-reliant and contribute to the growth of the local economy. It embodies the successful partnership of Tamdeen Youth Foundation with Oxfam in providing innovative solutions to empower youth and women and achieve financial inclusion for vulnerable groups.
