Cairo: Tamdeen Youth Foundation Participates in the Consultative Workshop for Taiz Development Action Plan
Tamdeen Youth Foundation, represented by its founder, Mr. Hussein Al Suhaily, and its Director of Taiz Region, Dr. Ibrahim Al Musalami, participated in the consultative workshop for the socio-economic development action plan for Taiz Governorate 2024-2026, which concluded its work today, Sunday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Dr. Al Musalami explained that the workshop discussed over two days the four pillars of the plan, namely governance and public administration, peace and security, integrated basic services, and achieving the economic potential of Taiz Governorate.
"The workshop comes under major challenges facing Taiz Governorate and extensive official and societal demands to provide basic services, improve livelihoods and normalize public life, most notably water, electricity, health, education and many priority files." He added
At the opening of the workshop, Mr. Shawki Ahmed Hayel, Chief Operating Officer and Board Member of HSA Group, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tadhamon Bank, emphasized the creation of a common and solid base between the public and private sectors, local banks, civil society organizations and international development partners, as an entry point for the success of Taiz socio-economic development plan in all its districts.
"Today we have an important responsibility to succeed, and there is no other choice. It is essential to seize the opportunity and take advantage of the international direction to bring peace, enhance opportunities for sustainable development and shift from urgent relief to sustainable development by mobilizing all efforts, identifying needs, setting priorities and linking it all to the community in Taiz.
The workshop received official participation from the government, the local authority in Taiz, the private sector, UN agencies, international organizations, donors and civil society organizations.
